More Dishes?
Living in a college apartment with 3 other roommates may seem hard to do for some, but for me it is great. I love the interaction and company from my roommates. It is very seldom that I complain about something in the house, but can I just say the constant struggle with the dishes is horrendous. I have never seen such a thing. I feel like I am constantly loading and unloading the dishes. I loaded and unloaded the dishwasher two times in one day last week. Come on people... I know that they see the dishes piling up. Why don't they do something about it? I know, they are lazy. How hard is it for someone to eat a bowl of cereal and then rinse it out and place it in the dishwasher right next to the sink? Apparently very hard. Then, when I go to the sink and see the gross crusted milk in the bowls, I want to vomit. This is a huge pet peeve of mine. It is something I am faced with everyday... They never end!

The Signs of Spring: Bikers

Columbia, Missouri had a gorgeous sunny day today, and I noticed that tons of bikers were out. Now, I have a bike and I ride it occasionally, but for those that do it on a regular basis around campus; I just have a few issues.
Number 1: They come at you from nowhere with no forewarning hoping that by some miracle they will not run into anything or anyone... Oh wait they don't hope that. The person walking is praying they don't get hit and the drivers are hoping not to hit one of the bikers.
Number 2: They think they own the sidewalk. There literally is a road 2 feet away that they could ride on because frankly there isn't enough room on the sidewalk, especially when you have the people walking in groups.
I would just like an explanation as to why I am always being attacked on the sidewalk, the sidewalk that I am supposed to be walking on. I just don't get it...
Now no worries, I did not forget about the bikers that hog the road. I know from personal experience that Rock Quarry Road is a great little road to go riding down, but don't you think it is a little dangerous? Cars come cruising around the turns and then all of a sudden they are slamming on their brakes because there is a bike in front of them or a car in the wrong lane due to a biker. What is wrong with you bikers? Are you trying to get yourselves killed? There are so many trails around Columbia. Go pick a nice trail, enjoy the scenery, and please stay off the dangerous roads.

Will it ever end?

Missouri is known for its drastic weather changes, but the weather just keeps getting worse and worse. The winters are getting colder, and the summers are much more humid and hot then normal. I have lived in Missouri my entire life, and I cannot recall the last time the temperature was 30 degrees in March and then 80 degrees the next day. Oh wait, that happened this weekend. I tell you it is crazy. It is such a tease to have a gorgeous sunny day and then for it to be cold rainy and snowing the following day. Just when you think the coldness is over... it comes right back at you. When will this silliness end? The fact of the matter is, it will never end. It is a fact of life you must live with. Therefore, I think I should move to a warmer climate so I do not have to worry about cold weather anymore. There is so much that you have to take into consideration when it is cold. You have to think about how you are going to have to layer your clothes so that you do not get too hot. Then there is the whole car issue. If you do not have a car that operates nicely in the snow, then you are stranded till the roads clear up. It is just a mess.
