Have you ever noticed the people speeding everywhere during the week? I always wonder why they are in such a hurry. I think it is more important to be a few minutes late then speed and not arrive at all.
People can sometimes make stupid driving choices when they are late for something. I see it all the time. Usually it is in traffic and someone grows impatient so they think that the best solution is to get on the shoulder of the road and speed past everyone. The shoulder is not a lane. Do people realize how dangerous that is? There are abandoned cars on the shoulder. There are police officers who just pulled over someone on the shoulder. There are people with flat tires on the shoulder. There are hitchhikers, guard rails, and signs. What if you were driving and all of a sudden here comes a bridge? Where would you go? You are on a shoulder no lane to zoom into because there is bumper to bumper traffic. You either hurt yourself really badly or somehow manage to stop before you get to the bridge. Why would you jeopardize your life like that?
Just be patient wait in the traffic you will get to your final destination soon enough and arrive alive. Not only do these people put their lives in danger, they are putting everyone around them in danger as well.
